  The acquisition of Oakwood to Equity has been quite the nightmare. They sugarcoat the truth - this place needs a gut renovation. It's difficult to get the proper permits with so much development going on near us. Subsequently, I fear they are going to just "sugarcoat" their "remodel" attempt with nicer interior amenities. They likely won't make the much needed electrical and plumbing upgrades. We're all terrified of the rent increase when they finish the "sugarcoating."
  
  Security is all-but gone. It's rather scary around here after dark. My car was hit in the garage and... they left. Pedestrian gates are left unlocked and transients come onto the property. Folks party and make excessive noise now that security isn't patrolling. It's quite the noisy place. I wake up to maintenance/contractors working on my neighboring apartment. They have zero regard for noise and paint fumes. "Pearl" blame the washers for being "out of order" due to flooding. Well.. actually the plumbing lines need to be snaked. SOOOO incredibly much info, policies, and procedures weren't passed on to Equity from Oakwood. In all sincerity, I'm just glad I have a place to live for the time being. I keep aware of my surrounding on this property at all times and carry a weapon after sunset. I guess that warrants more than one star?
